Ridley Scott’s latest film The Last Duel has only just been released – but the veteran director has another star-laden epic coming before the year is out in the shape of true-life crime thriller House of Gucci.

The film, which explores the dramatic fall of the Gucci dynasty, sees Scott re-team with Adam Driver, while the glamorous cast also includes Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek and Al Pacino – so don’t be surprised to see it crop up in awards conversations in the coming months.

The first trailer for the film caused quite a stir on social media when it was released in the summer, and a further teaser was unveiled in late October which has only further heightened anticipation.

The new clip teases Lady Gaga’s Patrizia Reggiani fateful introduction to Driver’s to Maurizio Gucci, who rather ominously informs her: “Gucci is like a cake. You have a taste and you want more and then you’ll want the whole thing for yourself.”

Then, just a day later – another full trailer was released, including yet more previously unseen footage from the film.

Based on the 2001 account The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed the film promises to be a highly entertaining affair – here’s everything you need to know about House of Gucci.

House of Gucci release date

Doors to the House of Gucci will open on Friday 26th November 2021 – around 100 years after the fashion house was founded.

Unlike many 2021 releases, House of Gucci will be released exclusively in cinemas. However, the film will head to streaming service Paramount Plus in the US following its theatrical run.

It will be a busy few months for director Ridley Scott, as his earlier Adam Driver film The Last Duel will premiere only a few weeks earlier in October.
